Rebeka Kahn Artwear.

Ireland's home-grown ceramist, jewellery designer and creator Rebeka Kahn,
has bucked Ireland's recessionary trend, starting 2009 with a shortlist for
a major craft award, a host of new retail partners, several TV appearances,
and ringing endorsements from former Miss World, Rosanna Davison with her
collection of bespoke jewellery which she creates using a unique fusion of
ceramic and glass.

Kahn, who produces individually-crafted pieces of jewellery or 'artwear'
from her studio in south County Dublin, has seen her profile boosted by
several appearances by Davison in national and regional press and on TV,
adorned with Rebeka's neck pieces. She has also earned enormous loyalty and
repeat business from her customers.

"I am a big fan of Rebeka Kahn jewellery and Artwear," said Davison, who
owns several pieces from the Rebeka Kahn Artwear collection.
"No two pieces are the same and you are guaranteed an individual item."

One of the first to stock Kahn's work was boutique owner Jenny Turner of
Enniskerry.
"I carry Rebeka's beautiful range of Jewellery which are wonderful because
each piece is unique and different," said Turner.
"Every time I wear one of Rebeka's pieces people admire it because of the
combination of unusual materials - it literally comes alive when you wear
it. I am honoured to have her magnificent collection in my boutique."

Kahn's artwear has also been worn in front of the camera on several
occasions by TV3 Xpose presenter, Lorraine Keane.
Further exposure at trade craft fair Showcase Ireland, where Rebeka Kahn
Artwear was shortlisted from hundreds of entrants for the best new product
award, meant five new retailers came on board as stockists of Rebeka Kahn's
Artwear range, including Irish fashion designer Caroline Mitchell.

Part of the secret to Kahn's success is working directly with designers and
boutique owners.
Drawing on her background in graphic design, Rebeka creates lines of
jewellery in complementary colours and styles to their clothing lines.
The collection was used in Irish designer Mary Grant's latest
brochure,(spring/summer '09) and has helped other designers and boutique
owners provide complete ensembles to clients, with the option of
commissioning bespoke pieces.
