From The Blogs

Weekly roundup of all the news and views in the Irish fashion and beauty blogs!!!

Go Buy Now: Sheepskin!!! www.whatshewears.ie

It’s hard to imagine, but we’re fast forwarding a look at the upcoming autumn fashion trends already and Sheepskin is tipped to be as one of this season’s biggest trends.

With that in mind, we look to two must-have sheepskin pieces for your wardrobe once the cold sets in.

A die hard UGG fan or not, these babies certainly keep you warm all winter long. The solution for many is to wear them when house bound, as they can, for some, appear ugly outdoors (read the debate here: Ugg boots, rate them or slate them?).

Coast is pretty in pink to support The Marie Keating Foundation www.stylebible.ie

As many Irish people will know, The Marie Keating Foundation aims to beat breast cancer through awareness, education and the provision of support services. Since launching in 2001, nearly 105,000 people have been helped by services provided by this wonderful Foundation and as October 2010 is Breast Cancer Awareness month, one of our favourite retailers Coast is proud to do its part to support the Marie Keating Foundation.

Wildchild is back

www.whisty.wordpress.com

This week I’m mostly craving printed maxi skirts and dresses. 60s / 70s vintage printed, maxi skirts and dresses to be more precise. Since I’d noticed Wild Child vintage clothing had moved from Georges St. Arcade to Drury Street., I thought a bit of window shopping / dressing-up was in order. I think I want to go to a party wearing the mint-green dress above. One where I get to sit in this chair and drink Babycham and brandy, while smoking cigarettes through a large, gold cigarette-holder.

Two Week Maincure www.wow.ie

This one is for all you ladies who like to have perfectly manicured talons at all times and would rather be caught dead than with a chip in your polish. It’s a new craze to hit the world of beauty, 2 week manicures! The brand I am aware of are called Gelish but there are many more available. It applies like a nail polish, wears like a gel nail, but without the damage to your natural nail plate.
